Central Beach
The liveliest spot in Adler, Central Beach stretches for several kilometres right through the heart of town. It is fully kitted out for an easy day by the sea — loungers and umbrellas to rent, water attractions, boat rides and a water park nearby — which makes it the natural choice for families who want everything within reach.
Olympic Park Beach
Set beside the venues of the 2014 Winter Olympics, this beach pairs a seaside afternoon with a sporty edge — volleyball courts, open space for games, and a striking view of the Olympic stadiums behind you. It is a favourite backdrop for photographs.
Imeretinsky Bay Beach
The Imeretinsky resort area, built up around the Olympic development, has a calmer, more polished feel. Its clean shoreline of fine pebbles slopes gently into the sea, so it is well suited to families with young children, and the promenade behind it is lined with cafés and restaurants serving everything from local dishes to European fare.
Chaika Beach

Getting There — the Honest Part
Adler is the district of Greater Sochi where the region’s airport (AER) actually sits, so it is the one operating gateway on this stretch of coast — the airports at nearby Anapa and Gelendzhik have been suspended since 2022. Reaching Russia at all is the harder part in 2026: there are no direct flights from North America, the UK or most of the EU, so travellers connect through hubs such as Istanbul, Dubai or Doha and fly on via Moscow to Sochi. A consular visa is required in advance, foreign bank cards do not work inside the country, and several Western governments, including the US and UK, currently advise against travel to Russia — so check your own government’s guidance before booking.
